Editorial Portrait Photography for Children’s Book Author, Gina Brant
The Portrait Photography Brief
Gina contacted me for a business portrait photography session in my Devon-based studio. Gina wanted natural, relaxed headshots that she could use on LinkedIn and could send to her publishing agency.
Despite dreading having her photos taken nearly as much as a visit to the dentist, she soon relaxed in front of the camera and I managed to capture these natural shots that allow her personality to shine through.
As her daughter, the illustrator of her children’s books was also present, we spent some time capturing some fun portrait images that meant they soon forgot about the nerves they had at first.
The Portrait Photography Results
I love the relaxed and approachable feel of the headshots and really enjoyed capturing some more candid images in between the posed headshots. I have been a portrait photographer for over 10 years, so I’ve worked with many clients who are very nervous in front of the camera. I have a few tricks up my sleeve that help clients to feel at ease in front of the camera and this allows me to capture professional portrait photographs that my clients are happy with.
